ANAIS

Grey had been so vigorous, I needed a moment to rest, and a bit of self-healing, before we could go on. Fen carefully removed the restraints and laid me on Grey’s bed as Ramsey rummaged around in the bondage box and muttered to himself about the fun he could have.

Once I’d been released, Grey had staggered to the side, falling to his knees in a corner, holding his head. I wasn’t sure what to make of that, but he seemed to recover quickly enough because he stood and came to me, his void still whirling in his eyes.

He sat on the edge of the bed and whispered, “You’ve brought it back, but now I can’t get rid of it at all. I hate what it does to me, hate how it digs a pit in my soul.”

Well, that didn’t sound good.

“We got it to come back. That’s a miracle,” I whispered. “We’ll work together to make sure you can control it… later.”

Because we were still short on time, and now it was time for me to somehow heal the souls of my two bestial men.

Grey nodded, jaw tight, and rose to begin dressing.

With a not-so-sexy groan, I rolled to my side on the bed and looked at the other two: tall, blond, and perfect versus huge, dark, and brutish.

“Who’s next?” I asked, still a bit breathless. I had no clue how to help either of them, but our time was running out. The city needed my guys and I needed to get them into shape… somehow.

“You’d better go first,” Ramsey said, and I was surprised at his graciousness… which lasted all of a second before he continued, “I’d just ruin her for you.”

“Thank you,” Fen said with an eye roll. Then his gaze swept up over me, his eyes capturing mine, the look penetrating straight to my soul. “Though nothing any man could do would ever ruin her for me.”

My heart skipped a beat at the pure and abiding devotion I felt from him: from those words and his persistent gaze.

Fen sat on the edge of the bed, reaching out a hand to softly stroke my arm. “We already know your voice calms my wolf.” He sighed and a hint of doubt crept into those aqua-blue eyes. “But… do you really think there’s anything you — or we — could do that would keep my wolf tame while I was away from you?”

I had no clue.

Curious, I asked, “What does it feel like, your wolf in general… and when I calm it?”

“Imagine the worst hunger you’ve ever felt, then multiply that by a thousand. Also, link that to a need to destroy. Only rending the world and consuming it will please my beast.”

Well… that was a hell of a lot worse than I’d imagined.

“And my voice somehow overcomes all of that?” I asked, just a bit awed at my power.

“Yes,” he said, looking away for a moment. “It’s as if the sound of your voice is the sweetest and most filling nectar.
